EPA EXTENDS DEADLINE:
For Streetbike Emission Standards Comments
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has extended the public's comment deadline on the agency's proposed emissions standards for street motorcycles from Nov. 8, 2002 to January 7, 2003.
BUT OUR WORK IS NOT NEARLY DONE! WE NEED YOU!
The EPA is mandated to elicit comments from the general public (yes, you, me, manufacturers, etc.) on their proposed emissions standards as part of the process to establish new or modify existing standards.
Motorcycle rights groups around the nation are urging us to exercise our rights and send our comments to the EPA to oppose their emission standards that will dictate what and how you and your children ride in the future!
PLEASE DON'T DELAY! We succeeded in getting an extension from the Nov/2002 deadline to January/2003... And now we ALL need to stand up and be counted.
You can write, email or fax the EPA. Here you will find details about the history of these standards, analysis of the effects of such standards, and ideas about what to write and what you can do.
Your needed comments may be submitted in writing, email or fax to the EPA, but no later than January 7, 2003. See Action Alert for details...
